A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :
Each year in May, UAA Human Resources Department conducts UAA Development Day for staff. For at least the past three years a sustainability track has been offered at Development Day. This year the following classes were offered: Treading Lightly With Your Carbon and Ecological Footprints, Reducing Energy Use and Costs at UAA and at Home, Starting an Organic Kitchen Garden, Growing Fruit Trees in Anchorage, Diversity . . . Everyone Counts and Every Issue is Important, UAA Transportation Options, Go Green.
