Yes

None
A brief description of how the institution meets the criteria:
University of Alaska system-wide awards a bidder's preference to businesses which are minority or women owned for all stages of our procurement process. We also require contractors who are performing work for UAA to make good faith efforts to utilize small business concerns, woman-owned, minority-owned and other economically disadvantaged small business enterprises. UAA also requires its contractors to do so when available. The classifications are defined as follows: (1) Small business is a business that meets the pertinent criteria established by the Small Business Administration. (2) Socially and economically disadvantaged small business means any small business which is at least 51 percent owned by one or more socially and economically disadvantaged individuals; or, in the case of any publicly owned business, at least 51 percent of the stock which is owned by one or more socially and economically disadvantaged individuals and whose management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more of such individuals. Women owned business means a business that is at least 51 percent owned by a woman or women who also control and operate the business.
