A brief description of the assessment process and the framework, scorecard(s) and/or tool(s) used:
UAB Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion completes a qualitative and quantitative assessment annually as detailed in their strategic plan. The quantitative values from the assessment are displayed on the dashboard: https://www.uab.edu/dei/about/diversity-dashboard
Link to strategic plan: https://www.uab.edu/dei/about/strategic-diversity-plan
These assessments are compiled by all 3 campuses in the UA system every 2 years and presented as a system-wide document: http://uasystem.edu/assets/2018/08/2017-Minority-Participation-Report.pdf
Does the assessment process address campus climate by engaging stakeholders to assess the attitudes, perceptions and behaviors of faculty, staff, administrators and students, including the experiences of underrepresented groups?:
Yes
Does the assessment process address student outcomes related to diversity, equity and success (e.g. graduation/success and retention rates for underrepresented groups)?:
Yes
Does the assessment process address employee outcomes related to diversity and equity (e.g. pay and retention rates for underrepresented groups)?:

A brief description of the most recent assessment findings and how the results are used in shaping policy, programs and initiatives:
The assessments drive programming and initiatives of ODEI. The gaps in equity observed from the assessment are used to develop new programming, staffing, and funding. For example, we know we need a mentoring program at the institutional level for staff. Staff often lack the mentoring and collegiality opportunities given to students and faculty.
Are the results of the most recent structured diversity and equity assessment shared with the campus community?:
Yes
A brief description of how the assessment results are shared with the campus community:
The results are shared with the campus through articles in our eReporter, the Dashboard on the ODEI website, and most recently, through inclusion in our institutional strategic plan:
