A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):
New employee orientation includes one slide in the core presentation that highlights the importance of sustainability at UAB. Additionally, sustainability is incorporated into other parts of the presentation, such as transportation (carpooling, the bus system, and CommuteSmart are emphasized) and recycling. All employees are also given a copy of 'conservation at UAB', which showcases opportunities for sustainability efforts in individual employees. This brochure is also available online.
