Integrated Research Administration Portal (IRAP)
Methodology:
Run an ad hoc report from IRAP designed to return every person listed in the Personnel screen of every project currently in an "Active" status (18,898 records). Export the report results to Excel. Use "Active Projects" for the sheet name. Note that projects are defined here as having any one of the following Proposal Types: Original/New, Competing Continuation/Renewal, Resubmission, Change in PI, Transfer In, Fee for Service. Import the Excel list of sustainability search terms provided by the requestor into the Excel workbook as a separate sheet. Use "Sustainability Terms" for the sheet name. Add a formula column to the "Active Projects" that determine TRUE/FALSE whether the project keywords or project title contain at least one of the requestor's search terms.
The counts of active projects and active sustainability projects were obtained from the "Active Project Count" and "Active Sustain Project Count" sheets respectively. The number of all distinct persons that were listed on active sustainability research projects were gathered from the "Active Sustain Project Count" sheet. Responsible departments were gathered from the "Active Sustain Project Count" sheet as well.
