We gave a brief presentation on STARS to the Alabama sustainability group at our last meeting in Tuscaloosa (May 2016). Many in the group had not heard of AASHE or STARS and were encouraged to see a set of standard metrics for sustainability in higher ed.
Also presented during the Sustainability Symposium within the annual Alabama Academy of Science Meeting in Florence, AL (Feb 2016).

A brief description of the mentoring relationship and activities:
Through the Alabama sustainability group, those with formal offices meet twice annually with other schools in Alabama that have partial or no employees assigned to sustainability. In addition, our office gives presentations to other institutions within Birmingham (the Lakeshore Foundation, a research facility, and Samford University this year) to share our program.
