A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):
The UAB Recycling Coordinator gets 5 minutes in front of all new employee orientations (mandatory for all employees, held every 2 weeks, approx 4 hours long) to describe the overall program and how employees can recycling UAB and personal property. Additionally, the coordinator describes the enterprise-wide sustainability program (of which he is a committee member) and keys ways for employees to become involved through distribution of the UAB Sustainability brochure and the UAB Energy Management brochure as well as the UAB Sustainability "Get Involved" pages.
