A brief description of the institution’s community garden:

The purpose of the garden is to connect students, faculty and the community through experiential learning and practice. The garden is a model of sustainability and by being accessible and highly visible, it is contributing to the advancement of the University at Buffalo and Campus Dining & Shops’ sustainability efforts.

The Campus Garden has recently moved outside of the Statler Commissary, across the pedestrian bridge found in the Center for Tomorrow Lot.

The 2021 season was a pilot for our university. Campus Dining and Shops, UB Campus Planning, and UB Veterans all are working hard this year maintaining their crops. There are plans to expand the garden for the next growing season due to interest.
