The University at Buffalo offers training opportunities in a variety of sustainability-focused topics as defined by the framework of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals to its employees.

Staff within UB's Planning and Design office are encouraged to become LEED accredited, LEED trainings and the cost of the test are paid for by UB. UB also maintains institutional memberships to AASHE, the Post Landfill Action Network (PLAN), and the Western New York Sustainable Business Roundtable and publicizes the ability for all members of the university community to take advantage of the free resources, and professional training opportunities available as a result of these memberships.
