The Office of Sustainability has established a new partnership with the Capital Region Chapter of AEE and CWEEL. These are focused on providing professional development and networking opportunities. We collaborated on several tours, a service project and a large event - a half day syposium at the new ETEC building on campus.

The University and City signed a three year MOA to work on joint sustainability projects. This has resulted in more civic engagement of campus members in the sustainability sub-committees and a large service project to weatherize homes in the area.

The Stormwater Coalition of Albany County is comprised of 11 municipalities and the University at Albany with each Coalition member providing mutual support and assistance in implementing MS4 Permit requirements. Last year, the coalition employed four interns as part of a grant funded project to map historic well and septic systems, green infrastructure assets, municipal soil boring data and Erie canal systems.
