A brief description of the institution’s sustainability partnerships with the local community:
The Office of Environmental Sustainability holds "Go Green Nights" at local youth organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club and local schools (Woestina Elementary, Doane Stuart School). The University at Albany also partners with the City of Albany and is involved with the Albany's 2030 strategic plan. Members of the Geography and Planning graduate program also work closely with the Albany planning office, especially for the Albany Bike Plan.
