The sustainability culture assessment was developed by employees who are responsible for integrating sustainability practices at Université TÉLUQ. No experts were involved; it was developed entirely by the Sustainability team. The Sustainability team developed a survey to assess the level of sustainability literacy and the sustainability culture within the institution (employees and students).

A brief description of how representative samples were reached (if applicable) and how the cultural assessment is administered:
The survey was emailed to the entire Université TÉLUQ community (employees [including professors] and students), with the option to respond or not, and it was available between March 7 and March 29, 2023. A total of 383 students and 217 employees completed the entire survey.
A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment:
Three quarters of employees (75%) and students (79%) would like to learn more about sustainability. More than half of employees and students (52% and 67%) have changed their diet because of environmental or social concerns, consider sustainability in their purchasing or would like to take part in a sustainability activity;
Around 75% of the employees and students value sustainability and try to learn about it and take it into account when making decisions, or consider it as a priority;
The topics of greatest interest to employees and students are climate change (56% of employees/53% of students) and natural habitat degradation and biodiversity conservation (51% of employees/47% of students);
The majority of employees and students (78% of employees/69% of students) are interested in learning how to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
Around 75% of the employees and students value sustainability and try to learn about it and take it into account when making decisions, or consider it as a priority;
The topics of greatest interest to employees and students are climate change (56% of employees/53% of students) and natural habitat degradation and biodiversity conservation (51% of employees/47% of students);
