In 2022, Université Laval hosted the 89th Congress of Acfas. Acfas is a non-profit organization contributing to the advancement of science in Quebec, in the Canadian Francophonie and on the international Francophone scene. During this international congress, several members of our community presented conferences and animated symposiums related to sustainable development.
- The SDGs at the local level: methods, issues and challenges for the search for solutions and partnerships
- Sustainable health: vector of a society project
- The forest and climate change: innovative responses for sustainable management

In 2022, Université Laval also participated in the Together Ensemble conference, a pan-Canadian event on the SDGs that brought together the private sector, academia, government and civil society.

A brief description of the mentoring relationship and activities:
Daniel Forget, a sustainability coordinator at Université Laval, supported Cégep de Lionel-Groulx and Cégep de Lévis, by sharing best practices for sustainability implementation within curriculum and mentorship for related committee development. Other collegial institutions in Québec have manifested their interests for such support.

The climate action coordinator at Université Laval supports several organizations, institutions and groups in setting up a climate action approach/action plan, in producing greenhouse gas emissions reports, in finding external auditors and in buying carbon offsets. She also participates to two inter-universities working groups, one focusing on carboneutrality with universties in Quebec and the other one Canada-wide on Institutional Air Travel Community of Practice.

Université Laval also support Cegep Garneau in developing their sustainability program. Our sustainability teams meet few times per year and have meetings on specific topics such as GHG reporting, SDG, participatory approach, sustainable mobility, etc.

Yes

A brief description of the peer review activities:
Yes. The climate action coordinator at Université Laval has assisted the Assemblée Nationale (Provincial Parliament) in producing their greenhouse gas emissions reports from September 2021 to July 2022. She also reviewed their GHG emissions factors.
