A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
Each year, we assess recognized research institutes, chairs, centers, and groups that are associated with sustainable development issues because this is a performance indicator we monitor annually. This list was updated by a supervised student and validated by two vice-rectorates (VRRCI and VRAIDD, namely research, creation and innovation & international affairs and sustainability) We used this list to identify all faculty members and researchers who work in some capacity on sustainable development issues and compared it to the overall list of active research professors at Université Laval (in all departments).
There was an error on our end for AC9 data in 2019. The .pdf submitted as a proof shown a list of 658 searchers but the previous number of 403 searchers (from 2016) was used for calculation.
In 2022, we are struggling to get reliable data for new research centers members. Therefore:
-AC9 (Part 1) From the same list of 656 searchers related in SD (as in 2019), we identified 31 searchers that aren't enrolled at ULaval. They are highlighted in yelow in the .xls
-AC9 (Part 2) The 31 searchers removed from that list didn't have any effect on the number of departments that include at least one.
