To raise awareness among the university community (students and employees) about responsible consumption during the holidays, a team committed to sustainable development holds an annual Responsible Christmas Market.
The event brings a large number of student associations and university groups together to sell local and environmentally friendly products and raise money for their activities and projects. Visitors to the market can also donate non-perishable food and kitchen items which are passed on to those in greatest need on our campus.

In 2015, 1,738 shoppers learned about responsible consumption from the 29 exhibitors at the Christmas Market.

Nearly 23% of the Université Laval campus is wooded. Unfortunately, a lot of trash is blown in by the wind or left by passersby. In 2011, Building Services began holding an annual woods cleanup day and invite students and staff to pick up trash.
A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign (2nd campaign):
In 2016, more than 653 kg of trash was collected by 130 persons. Over the years, 4,522 kg of trash was collected in the woods.

- 130 people who collected 653 kg of waste in 2016;
- 82 people who collected 580 kg of waste in 2015;
- 72 people who collected 724 kg of waste in 2014;
- 67 people who collected 610 kg of waste in 2013;
- 97 people who collected 1,265 kg of waste in 2012;
- 58 people who collected 690 kg of waste in 2011.
