Every five years, the Regional Metropolitan Transport Authority carries out an origin-destination (OD) survey. The last date was in the fall of 2018. We made a request to this authority to obtain information on the data pointing to the UQAM (downtown campus where most of the members of the university community go) as a location. of destination. Here are the results :

The OD survey targets all trips made during of a weekday in the Montreal metropolitan area
and its surroundings. The participants, selected at random, were asked about the characteristics of their household and the people that compose them, as well as on the characteristics of all trips made by each member of the household, during the day
before the interview.
Interviews completed with approximately 74,000 households resulted in allowed to describe the characteristics of 360,000 trips achieved by the 170,000 people who make up these households. The 2018 Origin-Destination survey (octobre 2018) is a realization of the Authority regional metropolitan transport in partnership with the ministry of Transports du Québec, Exo, the Longueuil transport network, the Société de transport de Montréal, the Société de transport de Laval and the Montreal Metropolitan Community (https://www.artm.quebec/planification/enqueteod/).
UQAM was a partner in circulating by e-mail the survey to the university community to encourage participation.
