Ecoambassadors network includes 110 members. It have an invaluable role in advancing sustainable development in the university. Composed of professors and employees, they have carried out all awareness campaigns. https://ecoambassadeur.uqam.ca/

In 2017, they launched an awareness campaign with and among student tenants in residences. They were invited to keep the sliding panels of the window of their accommodation closed during the winter and to adjust their thermostat to 21 degrees Celsius or less.

Ecoambassadors cutting-edge sharing initiative enabled the distribution of plant cuttings in order to promote the addition of plants in work environment. Also in 2017, a grant was obtained by an eco-ambassador for the Butterfly Effect project led by David Suzuki Foundation. Eco-ambassadors therefore organized a planting of Milkweed at UQAM in order to curb the extinction of the monarch butterfly.

In 2019, as part of Earth Day, the Ecoambassadors organized a spring cleaning chore to beautify Latin Quarter (university district). https://uqam.sharepoint.com/sites/GroupeUQAMGTECO-GouvernancePlanificationAdministrationetComm/Documents%20partages/General/Dossier%20r%C3%A9ponses%20STARS/EN-5%20Documentation%20suppl%C3%A9mentaire%20(visuels)/corvee_printaniere.gif
