A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
All students attending the Université de Sherbrooke three campuses were surveyed during the winter 2022 session through an online questionnaire distributed via the Survey Monkey survey tool. The survey was released on April 11, a follow-up was conducted on April 20 to ensure a better participation rate, and it was closed on April 27. A total of 1149 students submitted valid responses. The margin of error for this study is 3%, 19 times out of 20.
The survey is conducted every two years in order to be able to compare over time the evolution of modal shares and the performance indicators of our sustainable mobility measures.
