A brief description of the institution’s certified green cleaning program, including the year adopted and/or certified:
The Université de Sherbrooke retains its cleaning services from three different companies:
The first, which is in charge of the University’s residences cleaning services, is certified CIMS-GB since 2011. This company has a policy on its environmental management system that sets out the various regulatory standards to be followed in order to ensure that buildings cleaning services be done in a sustainable way.
The second company is responsible for the University’s Main and Health campuses cleaning services. In 2005, this company was certified ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and "Eco Warranty" which are all recognized international standards.
The third company is in charge of the Longueuil Campus cleaning services. It has been certified ISO 14001:2015 since 2017 and ISO 9003 since 1996.
All three companies use EcoLogo and Green Seal certified cleaning products.

The EcoLogo certification, awarded by UL (Underwriters Laboratories), is a Canadian program. UL is an independent company that certifies products in 46 countries. The certification evaluates products entire life-cycles, according to strict environmental standards. EcoLogo is a certification equivalent to Green Seal. For more information:
