Calculation of the number of students engaged in community service:
The number of students engaged in community service is underestimated since the 2017 Université de Sherbrooke Student Community Engagement Assessment (December 2018) was mostly evaluated in hours rather than in number of students. However, the number of students was indicated in some cases as well as the number of mandates carried out. The value of 5,610 students is therefore derived from the addition of the number of students, when the data was available, and the number of mandates carried out. In cases where the number of students was indicated as a range (e.g. from one to three), the highest value was selected. The calculation considered that there was at least one student per mandate. This hence has a direct effect in reducing the percentage of students engaged in community service.

The number of students enrolled for credit (headcount) excludes doctoral and part-time students.
