O desvio de resíduos de construção tem gerado uma grande preoucupação, o seu descarte, porém já existem esforços para mudar essa realidade, através de divulgação para cooperativas que separam os materiais para reaproveitamento.
A fiscalização municipal tem estabelecido critérios para descarte de materiais da construção civil.Mesmo existindo a Política Nacional dos Resíduos Sólidos,desde 2010,pouco se tem feito para melhorar a questão dos resíduos sólidos cada vez mais preocupante no Município de Belém do Pará.
