The Open University was the coordinating institution of the ISOLearn project - Innovation and Social Learning for Higher Education Institutions, a project of Strategic Partnerships under the ERASMUS + Program of the European Commission.
The framework and the tools used for this assessment were the ICT-based Social Learning Handbook, which presents the main methods and techniques for promoting the inclusion of people with Visual and Hearing in Higher Education in the European Union, and the methodology for the evaluation and promotion of inclusion in Higher Education, entitled "ISOLearn Quality Standard - Assessment Methodology".

Among the main outputs of this project are the studies of Desk Research and Needs and Gaps Analysis made for Portugal, Italy, and Sweden, in addition to the respective site and social media, which has a special version for Portugal entitled "Study on the Higher Education for people with visual and hearing disabilities in Portugal ", but also the ICT-based Social Learning Handbook and the methodology for the evaluation and promotion of inclusion in Higher Education, entitled "ISOLearn Quality Standard - Assessment Methodology".

The results are shared on a pratical basis, restructuring the infrastructures that are used for the presencial evaluation with acess ramps or a individual teacher to read the questions for the invisual students.
