-LOCAL SUSTAINABILITY: MAIN INSTRUMENTS AND PRACTICES
This course aims to deepen knowledge about territorial resources and learn how to manage them in a more efficient and integrated way, acting to strengthen and consolidate the vision and the capacity to implement sustainable local development.
The course will be constituted by a mandatory module on the main concepts, policies and instruments associated to Sustainability at the local level and by two optional modules, more practical, on Environment and Spatial Planning and on Energy and Transport.
-SUSTAINABLE BUILDING REHABILITATION
The objectives defined are fully compatible with the educational, scientific and cultural project of the institution, since the postgraduate in Sustainable Rehabilitation of Buildings:
• Develop and update specific knowledge in the field of materials, techniques and sustainable solutions related to the rehabilitation of buildings;
• Know and apply the concepts of sustainability applied to the construction and rehabilitation of buildings;
• Identify pathologies associated with the built environment, identifying their causes and proposing rehabilitation solutions according to the objectives of the interventions;
• Know sustainable materials and techniques, with the application of sustainable solutions compatible with the existing element;
• Act responsibly and consciously about the built environment, recognizing the impact of the intervention actions on the environment.
-EUROPEAN SEMINAR ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
This seminar, which will work entirely on e-learning, aims to foster dialogue between European students on sustainable development, based on a multi-disciplinary analysis of a set of case studies. Students from various nationalities and distance/conventional universities will be directly confronted with different approaches to the issue of sustainability, with the aim of introducing changes in society and thus contributing to the construction of a more sustainable Europe.
