A brief description of the institution’s formal participatory or shared governance bodies:
  1. The Comité Operativo Administrativo (COA) is composed of the directors of the Regional Technological Institutes, the Director of Corporate Services, the Director of Management and Operations, and the Director of the Center for People Development.

  2. The Consejo General Académico e Innovación (CGA) includes the academic department directors, the Directorate of Education, the Center for People Development, and the Directorate of Research and Development.

  3. Strategic Committee, which includes representatives from all directorates, as well as the communication and audit units. This committee plays a vital role in the strategic planning and implementation of institutional objectives, ensuring alignment with UTEC's mission and vision.  
  4. Comisión General de Diversidades, which focuses on diversity-related matters.
  5. Mesas de Transformación Digital, which guide and support digital transformation processes within the institution.

Currently, the institution operates under a Provisional Central Board of Directors, consisting of three individuals appointed by the Executive Power of Uruguay, with approval from the Legislative Power.
