UNESCO IESALC and UTEC signed an institutional collaboration agreement to strengthen education, culture, and human development. As a first activity under this partnership, they initiated a training program for 40 participants to incorporate key sustainability competencies into the curriculum.
The program, titled "Pedagogical Design and Education for Sustainable Development," aims to promote a sustainability-focused educational model at UTEC aligned with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda. During the course, participants will work on integrating transformative pedagogies and sustainability skills into their teaching practices.
The course is conducted in collaboration with the Association for Pedagogical Design and Education for Sustainable Development (ALDESD) and includes guidance from certified mentors. By the end of the program, the participating educators will be equipped to adapt their teaching methods and evaluations to meet new educational challenges, fostering a curriculum that supports sustainability in all aspects.
