In the Centro Sur regional campus, students engage in educational activities in the university's garden. The community has access to workshops and training on the topic in the garden.

The UTEC entrepreneurship program has a call for the incubation of entrepreneurial initiatives with a sustainability focus.

Events such as Sustainable Gastronomy, Green Engineering, Water-related events, Future and Sustainability events, Circular Economy events, Sustainable Mobility events, and events on Climate Change and Adaptation have been organized.

The UTEC Multicultural Fair is held annually, offering a space to celebrate the cultural diversity of the university and local community. During this event, students, faculty, and community members present and share different cultural expressions through gastronomy, music, dances, and other artistic performances. The fair promotes the exchange of ideas, respect for diversity, and intercultural understanding, creating an inclusive and enriching environment for all participants. Additionally, it features workshops and activities that allow attendees to learn about different cultures and traditions, fostering a strong sense of community within the university.
