A brief description of the incentive program(s):
Through a strategic collaboration between UTEC and UNESCO-IESALC, academic staff are provided with opportunities to develop new sustainability-focused courses or incorporate sustainability themes into existing ones. The program offers several incentives, including:

Release Time: Faculty members are granted dedicated time away from other responsibilities to focus on course development related to sustainability.

Training Sessions: Regularly scheduled training sessions are offered, facilitated by experts from UNESCO-IESALC and UTEC, to equip faculty with the latest knowledge and pedagogical approaches in sustainability education.
This program is a key component of UTEC's commitment to strengthening education, culture, and human development, and aligns with the broader goals of the institution’s partnership with UNESCO-IESALC.

Professional Development Opportunities: Participants have access to specialized training sessions and workshops facilitated by experts from UNESCO-IESALC. These sessions focus on innovative pedagogical approaches and the integration of sustainability competencies into curricula.

Mentorship and Support: Throughout the program, faculty members are guided by mentors certified by the Association for Pedagogical Design and Education for Sustainable Development (ALDESD). This support includes the co-creation of modules that incorporate transformative pedagogies and sustainability competencies.
