A brief description of notable policies or programs to make the institution accessible and affordable to low-income students:

All students who enter Ethnic Diversity have all tuition covered. The Ethnic Diversity Program provides services to all USFQ undergraduate students; indigenous, Afro-Ecuadorian and other vulnerable minorities, especially those with low economic resources, who demonstrate academic merit and a desire to excel in order to contribute to the scientific, social, economic and cultural development of Ecuadorian society.

USFQ is the only university in Ecuador to carry out a program organized exclusively to guarantee ethnic plurality with representatives of almost all the ethnic groups that inhabit the country.

At present, the EDP has established itself as a pioneer program in the country and the region. In its 26 years of existence, beginning in 1993 with 10 students, today it has more than 520 students and receives an average of 90 new students each year.
