The Office of Innovation and Sustainability is responsible for promoting joint work between academia, public and private companies, and the internal and external community in terms of creating shared value in innovation and sustainability issues. The Office of Innovation and Sustainability supports diverse programs and projects that range from sustainability courses to research and development projects in sustainable strategies, such as alternative energies, among others.

In 2020 USFQ launched the Smart Campus Group (SCG) a board comprised of multidisciplinary researchers expert in diverse fields of sustainability, operations personnel, student government and institutional authorities. The SCG drives the development of applied research projects on campus that promote the achievement of our institutional sustainability objectives.

Lead, coordinate and manage interdepartmental and multidisciplinary initiatives with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability at USFQ. Propose and implement sustainability improvement projects for USFQ in operational, academic and planning areas and develop proposals for research, academic writing and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
