To lead UDEM towards sustainable development by generating knowledge and implementing strategies to connect, engage, and involve the community in minimizing the environmental impact of daily life, through co-curricular activities and outreach programs.

A brief description of each sustainability office:

The sustainability office was founded in 2011. Since its foundation changes in the strategy have been made. The vision of the sustainability office is the following:

Guide the University of Monterrey to be an example of sustainability that inspires the development of an equitable society, a fair economy and care for the environment.

The sustainability office is part of the Student´s affairs area. From there we collaborate with other departments to propel sustainability in all the institution.

Our mision reads as: To train students committed to a culture of sustainability who are agents of change in society; as well as connecting and managing initiatives that involve the academic, operational and administrative areas of the UDEM to guide it towards sustainable development.

The sustainability director is responsible for spreading and making relationships with all areas of UDEM. Constantly the director holds meetings with other departments and centers to co-create sustainability projects applicable throughout campus. The director reports the advancements annually in sustainability to the VP of student affairs and the president.
