A brief description of the undergraduate degree program (1st program):

To train professionals capable of generating and making decisions on the design, evaluation, and management of sustainability and energy projects. These professionals should be enterprising, socially responsible, and mindful of energy and resources and have a high sense of innovation and a strategic vision. They should be able to generate interdisciplinary proposals and solutions to meet the needs of the current markets and as regards the futurology of energy and the environment. Additionally, to train agents of change who contribute to the well-being and quality of life of people and their milieu.

Concentration "Green building"

A brief description of the undergraduate minor, concentration or certificate (1st program):

Architecture students can choose to take the concentration on "Green building" meeting the following three courses:

- Tools for project analysis. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to distinguish the digital tools of analysis and simulation in relation to the physical environment as a means of optimization, in order to implement methodologies and técnias of analysis of the various factors involved in the design of sustainable buildings.

- Rules and Procedures for certification. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to learn the ways of qualification and certification of sustainable features of the buildings, as well as its importance and requirements to be obtained in order to achieve a rapprochement of the future architect to new roles and roles They are assumed in project teams with intentions of sustainability.

- Techniques, systems and materials. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to know some of the ways most relevant green building available in our context, in order to develop a critical judgment for the choice of techniques, systems and materials suitable for the specific conditions of a project from conception until use, contributing to reducing the environmental impact that buildings have on the environment.
