The university does not have legally protected areas, we take care of protecting the area with internal vegetation

Fauces for Conservation:

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics and the Faculty of Sciences and Biotechnology come together to work for the preservation of ecosystems and their species in the Conservation Line within the Solidarity Fund of the CES University.

FAUCES for conservation is constituted as a unit that intends to support local projects of environmental education and restoration of ecosystems in the country, through strategies that involve the academy, institutions and natural persons in the empowerment of their territory.

Methodologies

The methodologies used to identify endangered and vulnerable species and/or areas of biodiversity importance and any ongoing assessment and monitoring mechanisms:
The FAUCES program conducts research studies on biodiversity in Colombia to conserve areas that may be vulnerable or species that may be harmed by anthropogenic factors, and also seeks to educate the community that lives with certain delicate species and ecosystems.

Depending on the scope of the research carried out, it is sought that the ecosystems be preserved together with all their biodiversity

A brief description of the plans or programs in place to protect or positively affect identified species, habitats, and/or ecosystems:
The investigations propose the search for the valuation of the species to conserve their presence in the ecosystems: it seeks to preserve, value the natural resources. It is promoted by responsible consumption that is harmonious with the preservation of ecosystems
