Unity Dining submitted a case study to NACUFS in 2017 on our organics collection program in our dining facilities as well as the other food waste reduction measures they have adopted. Unity College was awarded the gold award in the waste reduction category and then won the overall sustainability prize. Unity College also sent a team to the 2016 Sustainability Lab's Maine Food System Innovation Challenge, and won an honorable mention prize of $300.
