Green Office Program

A brief description of the program, including examples of peer-to-peer outreach activities:
The Green Office program is offered to all employees of the college. It is a program ran through the office of sustainability and supported by sustainability office student ambassadors. The program has various categories for offices to work on and gain points for achieving for different sustainable/"green" actions. Offices are rewarded with a sign that says what their green office level is for the year.
A brief description of how the employee educators are selected:
When an office chooses to participate in the green office program, a green office champion is designated and this person is the point person for the office of sustainability and for their office as well.
A brief description of the formal training that the employee educators receive to prepare them to conduct peer outreach:
The green office champion meets with the sustainability office staff or student ambassadors at the beginning of the process to go over the green office program and answer any questions the office may have. Offices may also chose to have a waste audit done in their office so that they can learn how to maximize waste diversion in their own unit.
A brief description of the financial and/or administrative support the institution provides to the program (e.g. annual budget and/or paid faculty/staff coordination):
Support for this program is run out of the office of sustainability regarding both coordination and any budget needs the program may have.
