A brief description of the program:
Though no existing formal policy for patronizing local businesses is listed, the College is the largest employer in the area and seeks to engage local and regional business when possible. We view institutional purchases for products and services as an economic multiplier for our rural community, providing opportunities to support and develop the local economy. Notably, we've contracted with a local telecommunications provider and engaged local builders for campus renovations. Since last year, the College has made meal equivalency arrangements with local restaurants so that students may patronize these stores as part of their meal plans.
