A brief description of the themed semester, year, or first-year experience:
Sustainability themes are frequently incorporated into the first-year experience. Two years ago, every first-year student in the Unity Experience class focused on water issues including impacts of bottled water, access to water, and water quality. Last year's Unity Experience theme was "Living a Sustainable Life" with several sections focusing on local food.
