A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
On arrival at UWC-USA, all student attend an orientation program, which includes a 3-day Wilderness orientation trip; presentations about campus environmental systems related to waste management (including composting and recycling), water use, and energy use; a tour of the College's Agroecological Research Center; and dorm discussions about sustainability led by the Resident Assistants.
