Farm Crew Leaders

A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):

All first-year students are required to spend at least one- two hour session at the Agroecological Research Center during their first semester. Those students who want to become Farm Crew Leaders spend the first semester and the second semester learning tool skills, soil management, plant propogation, irrigation, harvest/prep, knowledge of crops, pests/diseases, weed management, composting, planning, research, and personal skills. During the second-year the Farm Crew Leaders, who continue learning new skills, help train and lead first-year and second-year students during Experiential Education and Campus Service.

The Farm Crew Leaders, who are second-year students, help train and lead activities for the first-year and second-year students during Experiential Education and Campus Service.
