A brief description of the methodology used to track and calculate the number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health :
The Environmental Health and Safety department (EH&S) at UMass Chan tracks all university and hospital related injuries. To determine the number of incidents reported by the Medical School, we took the comprehensive spreadsheet and filtered by "University Campus" and "incident only" types of claims.
