Yes, the University currently owns and operates a total of 76 Level-2 charging ports, with 40 for employee use and 36 for patient-visitor use. All stations are currently free to use to incentivize EV usage.

UMass Chan promotes the Bay State Commute app to its community to help commuters find options to get to and from campus and earn rewards for walking, biking, ridesharing, telecommuting, or using public transportation. Users can log their commute to earn rewards through the app, incentivizing more sustainable means of commuting to and from UMass Chan’s campus. Users can choose to be matched up with other users to rideshare to and from campus, making Bay State Commute an easy-to-use and convenient way to reduce emissions from driving alone.
UMass Chan also promotes the Mass Ride Match tool, which allows users to easily identify all the transportation options within their communities. Mass Ride Match is a one-stop searchable directory of public, private and accessible transportation options in Massachusetts.
UMass Chan partners with the Worcester WRTA to provide public transportation coaching and trainings for those who request them. In addition, UMass Chan provides preferential parking in the Pine Tree Lot to those who register as carpoolers on Campus.
