A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :

The Office of Sustainability presents to first-year school of medicine graduate students during student orientation. The presentation covers topics including, but not limited to, campus sustainability goals, state goals, sustainable transportation, energy conservation, and recycling. UMass Chan transfer students undergo the same orientation.
