Partners for World Health Collaboration
A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
With support of UMass Medical School, UMass Memorial Medical Center, the University’s affiliated Hospital, partnered up with a non-profit organization called Partners for World Health, based in Portland, Maine, to reclaim unused medical supplies and distribute them to people in need both domestically and around the world. To-date over 6 tons of medical supplies have been donated by the medical center to Partners for World Health for use on medical mission trips.
