Training on institutional recycling practices is available to all departments/staff and is conducted by our waste and recycling resource manager. The resource manager regularly conducts training with staff in environmental building services, housekeeping, food services, medical school departments, and hospital units to encourage recycling and provide information on the program.
Additionally, the institution holds an annual Earth Day in which vendors and departments from all over campus gather to inform and educate the students, faculty, and staff about sustainability and its applications to a variety fields and subjects.

The University, at the discretion of the manager, supports external professional development and training opportunities through payment, reimbursement, or subsidies for sustainability conferences, and professional accreditation relating to sustainability.
