A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:
UMass Medical School is currently working with Voltrx Consulting Services to develop a comprehensive electric and hybrid vehicle program for the Medical School. The Medical School is actively developing a plan to replace older inefficient vehicles with more efficient electric and hybrid vehicles. Voltrex has been contracted to consult on ideal charging station locations as well as which vehicles will be most beneficial to use for the Medical School.
