A list of projects proposed for outside funding during 2013 and 2014 was provided by the Office of Research. This list was used to develop a draft list of faculty and staff engaged in sustainability research, which was sent to Deans to review.
To calculate the total number of researchers, a student counted the number of tenure track and research faculty listed on each department's website. The list of research project proposals for outside funding in 2013-14 was used to determine the number of researchers in the Primate Center and the School of Medicine. Only faculty and staff who had submitted proposals during this period were counted as researchers.
