Howard Tilton Memorial Library, the Tulane University library, has a policy that supports (recommends) publishing in open access journals. See: http://library.tulane.edu/sites/default/files/u8/OA%20Policy%20May%202008.pdf The Library has activated Open Access (OA) titles in its list of electronic journals, added the Directory of Open Access Journals to its database list and public catalog, and has started routinely adding records for OA journals to the public catalog. The Library provides open access to Tulane publications via the new “Tulane University Journal Publishing” service which is an open access, peer-reviewed journal publishing service which provides a web-based platform for scholarly and academic publishing to the Tulane community.
