Two examples are:
1. Sustainable Water Engineering
Means of providing safe, reliable, and cost-effective potable water, sanitation, and water quality protection through municipal infrastructure. Methods of ensuring resilience and adaptation to changes in source quality and climate. Treatment and process design integrating considerations of cost and sustainability. Design projects using mandated standards.

2. Anthropology of Environment
Key issues and frameworks of environmental anthropology across the 20th and 21st centuries. Provides students with an introduction to both the discipline of anthropology and changing forms of environmental thought. Introduces students to anthropological concepts including culture, nature, ethnography, adaptation, and human exceptionalism using cross-cultural materials and case studies.

The number of continuing education courses offered varies from year to year, and sustainability-related classes are not necessarily offered every term. The courses listed in this submission come from the University College where some courses are cross-listed with certificate programs that are "for credit". These courses are for the FY22 academic calendar year.
