A brief description of the diversity coordinator's position:
The position and office were primarily focused on equity and diversity. Those duties shifted when the role of Director of HR was added to this position. Some of the functions of the new position have always included the review of job descriptions and posted ads to ensure EEO compliance and to ensure Truman is making efforts to attract a diverse pool of applicants. This is also part of the reason this position reviews all on campus interview requests and search processes. This posiiton reviews the committee’s work in terms of equity and diversity.
