The President's Sustainability Action Committee was asked by the President and the Truman Strategic Planning Committee to devleop an overall sustainability indicator.

The Truman Strategic Plan includes an overall indicator for sustainability, outlined below.
Outcomes: Ability to monitor and manage triple-bottom-line activities
Strategic Plan Goal Number: 2.4
Indicators: STARS submission rating; Units of consumption for water, gas, and electric.
2015 Goal: Achieve STARS Silver Level recognition, and reduce energy consumption by 5%.

Progress is being measured through measured units of consumption and through the STARS submission rating.
