Does the institution have a program to reduce residence hall move-out waste?:
Yes

A brief description of the program:

Excess furniture from the 2011 move out was taken to the Lexington Rescue Mission where it is available at low prices to people in need.

In 2012, the Office of Community Service and the Sustainability Office hosted a donation and recycling drive. Students were asked to leave donated and recyclable items outside their door during a certain time period on a particular day. Volunteers went around to the res halls to collect the items. Students with large items were allowed to arrange for pickup from the room. A similar program is planned for move-out 2013.
